Aluminum Fence by Mid Florida Fence

Decorative aluminum fences have grown in popularity over the last 10 years, faster than any other type of fencing on the market today. Cutting edge technology in the area of extrusion and powder coating have virtually made the old wrought iron fence of your grandpa’s day, obsolete.

Today’s aluminum fences are mechanical, meaning its assembled with fasteners. Each component can be easily interchanged in the event of damage. Therefore eliminating the need to cut out whole sections of fence that need to be re-welded, primed and painted.

Another advantage that aluminum fences have over their iron counter parts, is the ability to rack (no stair step) over sloped surfaces, providing total security at the bottom of the fence.

Aluminum fences are also very popular for swimming pools. Having a fence made of aluminum that does not rust, is key in the event that damage is done to the powder coated surface.

Aluminum fence comes in many different styles, colors and grades. At Mid Florida Fence our installation standards for aluminum fence are second to none. • Pool fencing – Ideal for the damp environment around a pool, ornamental fencing provides a see-through option for adults to monitor pool activity. A bottom horizontal rail is added as an extra safety precaution.

Ornamental fences can be finished many different ways for personalization.

  • Enamel – This is the most economical choice.
  • Polyurethane – This offers enhanced protection from rust.
  • Galvanized + Polyurethane – Long-lasting, this choice offers a strong level of rust protection.
  • Pre-Galvanized + Polyurethane – This offers three layers of protection from the elements.
  • Powder – Powder finishes are highly durable, and many powders include a UV inhibitor to help the color last.
  • Powder + Pre-Galvanized – This choice offers enhanced protection from all weathering.
  • Powder + Pre-Galvanized + Epoxy – This offers the most protection from the elements, and is a good choice for harsher climates.

Several modifications can be made to enhance the beauty and safety of ornamental fences, such as changing the height and width between slats. Welded and painted steel requires the most maintenance, with aluminum ornamental systems requiring the least and having extensive warranties.
